 Good for what it is but... January 2, 2009
I bought this for my fiancee for Christmas 2008 as she enjoys pruning trees for fire wood. I am an experienced DIYer and have two chain saws myself. This product is pretty safe to use but is no light weight for a lady. It cuts small branches well. It loses a star as I am not so impressed with the chain saw oil delivery mechanism as there appears to no real reservior, so you must keep squirting in chain saw oil from a little bottle. Overall, this is not a chain saw for any really tough work but a good alternative to sweating with saw or using a lopper for smaller branches. Needs a nylon carrying bag if you are off to the woods.

My husband asked me to get him this from Screwfix, they didn't have it in stock so thought I would check Amazon, glad I did, it was about 10 cheaper.
The 2 year warranty says a lot about a company that believes in their products.
The rechargeable battery that makes this cordless, is a good idea and all black and decker batteries are interchangeable, another good idea.
He didn't find this heavy and also found it easy to use. He cut branches down that was about 6inches thick, but mainly smaller ones and was well pleased with the results.
He liked the look and feel of this saw and how it handled too.

A superb product for an awesome price.
